Is a month a large period of time? Surely, if to consider how many new and exciting features have appeared during it in the mobile world. Let me show you the most remarkable of them.

In the beginning of the month the American Internet-giant Google announced its new software solution for the manufacturers of the electronics. The manufacturers will be able to produce so-called Googlephones which will come with the inbuilt applications including the means of connecting to Google Maps, the video sharing service You Tube, and, of course, to the e-mail client Gmail. So, finally Google is getting down to the mobile internet.

The research conducted by Doctor Gitte Lindgaard and his two colleagues from Carleton University’s lab in Ottawa showed unexpectable results: the time required for an Internet user to evaluate a site is only one 20th of a second!

The AOL company planned to launch a few new mobile services including the service MyAOL and the modernized page of the site AOL.com for mobile devices. What is more, AOL Mobile service offered mobile search which works as a search engine for a mobile user.

Last month Nokia was working
on the promising Haptikos technology. The new technology will enable the production of sensor displays with tactile feedback when the text is entered. Potentially it might cause the death of average keypads.

Nowadays you can't consider yourself to be free from the threat of spying because all the kinds of spyware, bugs and navigators are available on the market for quite a long time. But on the other hand, if you want to spy on your lover or subordinate, all that you have to do is to download the new application KoolTrax which only reuires a phone with Windows OS and GPS.

Google didn't lose a moment after the
release of the first version of the mobile platform Android SDK and had announced Android Developer Challenge - a competition for developers. The best developers who will take part will get from $25 000 to $ 275 000. At the same time the Internet-giant was considering all the probable possibilities of a rapid appearance on the market of game advertising.

Nokia had brought a few new mobile applications
for smartphones that aimed to increase user’s comfort while using the devices. For instance, Mosh service enabled all the Nokia smartphone users to save their fav apps, images, video and documents on the server and make them accessible to other users. The company has also introduced Nokia Audiobooks, a free and useful app for creating and listening to audiobooks on a mobile devices.

The final step of Nokia company was the re-launching of WidSets Internet-service on a new revolutionary platform. The service was supported by almost all the mobile phones with Java and offered the mobile users a wide widget-library and location-based orientation.

The new technology developed by Bango company enabled the users to receive multimedia content pressing a single button by inserting it into web-pages and e-mail messages. At the same time, the company had introduced a similar technology for commercial usage.
